Handkerchief Thief is the musical moniker of Sam McLaren, an indie-folk singer/songwriter based in Melbourne.

Handkerchief Thief's unique take on contemporary indie-folk combines elements of intricate fingerpicking and progressive layering, masterfully crafting dynamic pieces of emotional evocation. Traversing whimsical highs and hauntingly beautiful depths, Handkerchief Thief’s songwriting regales with lyrical tales on everything from death to politics.
