Gena Rose Bruce is a lover of sad eyed, bluesy pop with a touch of twang. She writes honest songs with a bit of reverb creating that 90’s dream, West Coast sound.
Her intoxicating and heart felt live performances leave audiences full of longing.
She'll play Some Velvet Morning every Tuesday in Feb, with her new live band and awesome support acts:
6th Feb: Hannah Blackburn
13th Feb: Warplane
20th Feb: Closet Straights
27th Feb: Annie-Rose Maloney
Gena dedicated 2017 to writing and recording her debut album with Melbourne producer Tim Harvey (Lisa Mitchell, Jade Imagine, Teeth and Tongue). She also teamed up with Henry Wagons to record as electronic band Principal (Spunk Records).
In 2016 Gena supported and shared the stage with both Ella Hooper and Felix Riebl on their national tours, as well as doing regular solo shows.
In 2015 Gena released her EP Mad Love, produced by Aria winner Steven Schramm.
In the New Year 2018, there will be a new album, a new band, and new live shows.
